Roy Hilton

Founder

Roy Hilton is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the HS family of companies. In 2016, Custom Structures Inc was purchased and integrated into the corporate structure of HS Holdings.  CSI has expanded into a commercial and industrial metal fabrication company under Roy’s oversight and leadership.

In 1985, Roy Hilton began working in electrical and industrial construction after a successful tour in the Marine Corps where he received his technical education. He worked on numerous large industrial projects holding positions in electrical controls, supervision, and commissioning.

He started electrical testing in 1994 with a national division of Raytheon doing utility work at nuclear plants and power generation plants. During this time, he served in field supervision, superintendent and general foreman roles, and held project management positions on government contracts. On the first phase of the TransCanada Keystone Pipeline project, Roy was the lead protection and control field engineer for the United States section of the project.

During the 2000s, Roy ran an electrical contracting company and in 2010 he began sub-contracting for a utility company performing testing and commissioning. The need for high-quality services with a commitment to safety and reliability was great, so in 2012 Roy formed HEATSINC as a full-service electrical testing and maintenance company.

Roy has been married to the former Susan Hughes for 36 years who also plays an integral part in the success of the companies.

The HS companies have expanded quickly under Roy’s leadership and 30+ years of experience now employing close to 150 personnel.
